Entry points first
Front door, back door, garage and any gate or side access should always be covered first, most break-ins happen through an entry point, not a random wall or window.
Commonly missed spots
- Side passages and access between buildings
- Driveways and parking areas, useful for vehicle and delivery evidence
- Pool and garden areas on larger properties
- Second-floor balconies, often assumed safe but frequently accessible
Height and angle matter
Cameras mounted too high often only capture the tops of heads, useless for identification. Correct height and angle balance a wide field of view with a usable, identifiable image.
